• Rescue/Physical Exam Indicated (with dilated cervix)

• Does NOT prevent:
  • Labour
  • Infection
  • PPROM

Cerclage Removal

• Typically 36 weeks
• Earlier if labour suspected

Why not after ~24 weeks?

• Lack of evidence
• Risk of causing harm (ROM, labour)
• Viability considerations
