Pathogenesis
- Arterial embolism → thrombus dislodged and occlude vessels else where (arterial bifurcation)
- Most common occlusion sites:
- Common iliac bifurcation (internal vs external)
- Femoral bifurcation (SFA vs DFA)
- No time for collateral, more acute presentation
