If testicular pain was noted, gently stroke the superomedial aspect of the thigh. Observe for ipsilateral elevation of the testis due to contraction of the cremaster muscle.
- The afferent signal is transmitted to the spinal cord at the L1-L2 level, and the efferent signal is carried by the genital branch of the genitofemoral nerve, leading to the contraction of the cremaster muscle.
Absent reflex:
