Level A evidence - Clinical dementia rating scale ≥0.5

• CDR - Clinical dementia rating scale (< 0)

Level B evidence - family report

• if family says pt can’t drive, then trust the family
• don’t trust patient’s self-assessment. If pt says “I can drive”, don’t trust it because their assessment is usually off

Level C evidence - everything else

• MMSE (≥24/30) < 24, N/A for MOCA
• history of driving citations/incidents
• avoidance of driving
• reduced mileage
