• Atrophy (chronic hip pain → Quad wasting)
• Deformity
• Scars
• Masses or lesions (trauma)

2) Bony alignment/symmetry

• Hip Fracture: External Rotation + Slight Abduction + shortened

Special Test

1. Leg Length
   • True: ipsolateral ASIS → medial malleolus
   • Apparent (Functional): umbilicus → medial malleolus
   • Congenital, femur fracture (old)
     • For hip fracture, Apparent < True
2. Hip flexor contracture
   • Thomas Test
