PEP
- Effective for Measles (within 72 hours of initial exposure to nonimmune, vaccine-eligible individuals aged ≥12 months.)
- *If not immune, giving a second dose of vaccine cannot help after the 72 hr PEP window
- The 2-dose series should be completed ≥28 days after the first dose
- Not effective for Rubella or Mumps
- Immune Globulin (IG) is recommended (< 6 dys of exposure) for: groups who cannot receive MMR or BEYOND 72 windows.
