• Fingers → Elbow. Hand always elevated such that finger is above elbow
• 10 Scrubs on each surface:
  • Finger Nail
  • Finger (every surface has 4 surfaces)
  • Palm (2 sides, 2 surfaces)
  • Wrist
  • Forearm

First scrub of the day

• First Scrub of the day:
  • five minutes, 2.5 minutes on each hand.
  • Use sponge
  • Make sure you're thoroughly clean the nails
  • Coming to scrub first, so that you get your first scrub of the day out of the way before preceptor ask you to scrub in
• Subsequent scrubs
  • Can be faster
  • Can use dry or wet scrub
