Imaging Sign

• XR
• CT

Complications

• AVN - Avascular Necrosis
• Chrondolysis
• Neurovascular compromises
• Soft tissue attenuation
• Chronic recurrent instability (likely to dislocate again)
• Fibrosis of soft tissue → Irreducible shoulder

Management

Reduce urgently with sedation.

Always get post-reduction X-rays and NV exam.

Don’t wait for imaging if the limb is grossly deformed—reduce first
