Admin:
- PO
- Titration at the beginning:
- prepackaged in a dose escalating regimen. Patients build up dose over two weeks before stopping smoking on the 1st or 2nd week.
- Reduce dose for renal dysfunction (Renal Dosing Protocol)
Side effects:
- Insomnia/bad dreams
- Psychiatric symptoms (depression, suicide, hostility, aggression), but not higher than other therapy
- GI → N/V - Nausea/vomitting → very BAD
