- They work by blocking the effects of the sympathetic nervous system, which can help to slow down heart rate and reduce the risk of certain types of arrhythmias.
Examples:
Effect: decrease HR, BP, heart contractility (negative inotrope)
Conditions:
- Compensated HF - Heart Failure
- Mortality benefit in people who have
- Arrhythmia - !AFib - Atrial Fibrillation
- CAD
- ↑High BP in individuals under 60 (But not first line for HTN)
