Acute: diffused swelling, goes away in 1 wk

Risk Factors
- Increased dietary intake (food high n purine)
- Alcohol (RF)
- Certain seafood, including herring, scallops, mussels, codfish, tuna
- Red meat, Organ meat (e.g. liver)
- High fructose corn syrup
- Decreased Kidney Clearance
- Decreased Estrogens (Menopause)
