1. Mechanical obstruction → Upper Endoscopy
2. Other Pathophysiology

Tests

• Gastrin Emptying Study
  • Emptying half time (normal 45-110)
  • 4 hr retention (normal < 10%)

Management

Behavioural/Preventative

Diet (3) → referral to Special Diet (RD)

• Low fat, low fibre
• small, frequent meals
• Fluid Diet (CF/FF) when solid is not tolerated

Medication

1. Anti-emetic
2. Prokinetic agents (D2i, 5HT4A)
   • Chronic management:
     • Domperidone
   • Acuet Flare-ups
     • Metoclopramide (Maxeran®)
     • Erythromycin
