Pathogenesis

1. Chronic Primary hyperparathyroidism ↑ → Bone develops alternative ways to absorb Ca Calcium (2.2-2.5)
2. Post Parathyrodectomy, rapid decline of PTH Serum
3. Ca Calcium (2.2-2.5) rushes into the bone
4. Can lead to severe, life-threatening Hypocalcemia ↓ Ca (< 2.2)

Treatment:

• Ca Supplement
• Close monitoring
