Pathogensis

• Immune system attacks glomeruli → inflammation and damage
• Most common nephrotic syndrome overall!
• Can be primary or secondary
  • Common secondary causes - SLE, cancer (solid tumors), NSAIDs, anti-TNFs

Complement activation → MAC

Can be triggered by

• HBV Viral Hepatitis
• SLE - Lupus
• Solid tumor
• Drugs
  • NSAID ,
  • TNF-a inhibitor anti-TNFs

Treatment

• low risk - wait and see
• high risk - steroids
