Sign of

• Venous Insufficiency
• Volume overload (HF - Heart Failure)

Grade:

• Immediate bounce back: 1+
• Stays pitting: 2-3+
• 1+: You can barely see the dent.
• 2+: You see a light dent, but it goes away within 15 seconds.
• 3+: You see a deeper dent and it takes up to 30 seconds to go away. (Very severe)

Level:

• Distal → Proximal: see how far up the leg it goes
• e.g. “10 cm below the knee”
