Discrete Nodules:

  • Multinodular Goitre
  • Thyroid Cancer

Diffusely Enlarged Goitre:

• A diffusely enlarged goiter refers to a uniform enlargement of the entire thyroid gland without distinct nodules. It is also known as a non-nodular goiter
• DDx:
  • Hashimoto Thyroiditis
    • Low T3, T4 → high TSH → Hyperplasia
  • Grave’s Disease
    • TSI → Hyperplasia
  • Subacute Thyroiditis (tender)
    • Inflammation
