Effect:

• Better than Sulphonylureas (”G…ide”) in risk of hypoglycaemia
• Weight Loose (very effective, comparable to bariatric surgery)

Conditions:

• T2DM , ↑ Hyperglycemia (> 7)
• can be used in !Renal Failure

Side effects:

• GI side-effects

Admin:

• Broken down by DDP-4, short half-life (< 1 min) → used in conjunction with DDP-4i (”-gliptin”)
• No need of dose adjustment in renal failure

Con:

• Expensive, not on public drug plan
