Def. Interstitial inflammation resulting in !AKI - Acute Kidney Injury
Etiology:
- Allergic Reaction to Medication (Major) → Often delayed onset (7 days)
- PPI (”-prazole”) (widely prescribed)
- NSAID → Can take months to develop reaction
- Anti-Microbial (esp. Penicillin G/V)
- Autoimmune
- Sjogren’s Disease
- Sarcoidosis
- IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD)
- SLE - Lupus

- Management → supportive! Stop agent. Consider steroids if select cases
