ARB = Angiotensin Receptor Blocker

Examples:

Effect: decrease BP (vasodilation), decrease BV by decreasing sodium re-absorption in the kidney (no aldosterone)

Conditions:

Less preferred compared to ACEi(-pril) → the 2 should NOT be combined

CI:

MOA: block type 1 Angiotensin II receptor → prevent vasoconstriction & aldosterone production
